Why does the grinder basket lid fill up with condensation after my initial cleaning with water before first use ? is this normal?

The condensation inside the grinder basket lid after cleaning is likely due to residual moisture from washing, especially if the lid was cleaned with warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. This is normal, as trapped moisture can condense inside the lid when it cools. To prevent this, ensure the lid is thoroughly dried before reassembling the coffeemaker.

@Mr. Anderson sorry, must be a misunderstanding. I just opened the package, got maker ready. I put water through the system to clean it as stated in the manual. After it went through its cycle, the moisture appeared. We had the timer set this morning for machine to brew coffee, and I woke up to World War III. The grinder is incredibly loud!! Omg !!? I would assume there’s something wrong with this machine, but the coffee taste good!

To make 2 cups of coffee with the Cuisinart DGB-400C coffee maker without programming a start time, follow these steps:

1. Fill the Water Reservoir: Open the reservoir cover and pour in water, using the water level window indicator to measure 2 cups. Do not exceed the 12-cup line.

2. Insert a Filter:
- If using a paper filter, place a #4 basket paper filter in the basket, ensuring it is fully open and touching the sides and bottom.
- If using Cuisinart’s permanent filter, make sure the handle is positioned away from the grinder basket.

3. Add Coffee Beans: Lift the grinder basket lid and add the required amount of coffee beans.

4. Close the Filter Door and Reservoir Cover: Ensure both are securely locked. The unit will not operate if the covers are open.

5. Start Brewing: Press the appropriate button to begin the coffee-making process without programming a start time.

Your coffee will start brewing immediately.
