• For best results, speak clearly and keep
the microphone about four inches (ten
centimeters) away from your mouth.
• Set the desired voice activation function (see
5.2 Use voice-activated recording on page 21
for more information) and recording format
(see
4.1.5 Change the recording format on page
15
for more information) before starting
recording.
• The Insert recording mode is not available
when the recording format is MP3.
• Make a test recording to make sure that the
settings are correct.
• Do not remove the batteries during
recording. This may cause the recorder to
malfunction.
• If recording for a prolonged period of time,
replace the batteries before beginning.

Follow these steps to switch to insert or append
mode to make additions to a recording:
