Prerequisites
1. Remove the
base
cover.
2. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in
Procedure
NOTE:
The touchscreen-board cable removal is only applicable for computers shipped with touchscreen configuration.
1. Remove the antenna cables from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
2. Peel off the adhesive tapes that secure the display cable and touchscreen-board cable to the system board.
3. Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
4. Open the latch and disconnect the touchscreen-board cable from the system board.
5. Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible. Then place the computer face down on a flat surface.
CAUTION:
Place the computer on a soft and clean surface to avoid scratching the display.
6. Remove the six screws (M2.5x5) that secure the display assembly to the palm-rest assembly.
7. Gently lift the display assembly off the palm-rest assembly.
