Menu Organization

The menu system consists of three subsystems: SETUP
MENU, AUTO FUNCTION (auto mode execution) menu
and HOURS METER (digital hours meter display) menu.
Pressing the MENU button displays the menu selection to
set the desired menu item.
This chapter mainly describes the SETUP MENU for the
settings of functions.
For details of the AUTO FUNCTION menu, see "Using
the i.LINK Connector for Dubbing and TC Insert" (page
64).
For details of the digital hours meter display, see
"Periodical Maintenance" (page 92).
The SETUP MENU consists of three levels, and menu
items of each level are divided into BASIC menus and
ENHANCED menus. The BASIC menu items are
frequently accessed for the normal operation, and the
ENHANCED menu items are accessed when more
advanced operations are necessary.
On how to display the ENHANCED menu items, see
"Displaying ENHANCED Menu Items" (page 88).
The menu settings are saved in non-volatile memory,
which means they are not erased when you power off the
unit after executing the setting operation.
