IMPORTANT!
• The metering mode will change to "Center Weighted"
automatically if you change the EV shift value (page 125) to
anything other than 0.0 while "Multi" is selected. The
metering mode will change back to "Center Weighted"
when the EV shift value is changed back to 0.0.
• When "Multi" is selected as the metering mode, the
icon will not be displayed on the monitor screen when you
return to the REC mode information display (page 244).
NOTE
• You can use the key customization feature to configure the
[ ] and [ ] buttons so they control the metering mode
setting (page 138).
Reducing the Effects of Overexposure
and Underexposure
You can use the procedure below to expand the dynamic range,
which makes it possible to capture the bright areas of an image
while reducing the chance of overexposure and underexposure.
When shooting a subject that is back lit, for example, an
expanded dynamic range minimizes overexposure and
underexposure.

In the REC mode, press [MENU].
2.
On the "Quality" tab, select "Dynamic Range"
and then press [ ].
