Using Touch Tone and Rotary Dial Phones

To fully use the Automated Attendant and Voice Mail features from
outside the company, you must call NVM-Series using a Touch Tone
phone. If you call NVM-Series using a rotary dial phone, you must
wait on the line when the Automated Attendant answers. After a short
wait, NVM-Series may connect you to a company operator or give
you an opportunity to leave a message; it depends on how the system
is programmed.
