Exiting a Mailbox (cont'd)
To eXit a mailbox and
return to the
Automated
Attendant
Exiting NVM- Series
You cannot return to the Automated
Attendant after you dial 9 to exit a Future
Delivery Mailbox from an inside extension.
1. Press X (9).
Listen for: To go to the Automated
Attendant, press the star key (if you do
not hear it, you cannot call the
Automated Attendant). You will not hear
it if you exit a Subscriber or Message
Center Mailbox from an inside extension
and that mailbox is not programmed
with a Next Call Routing Mailbox (see
your System Administrator).
2. Press

If exiting from outside the company,
this step calls the Automated Attendant
(Instruction Menu) that originally han-
dled your call.
If exiting a Message Center or
Subscriber Mailbox from an inside exten-
sion, this step calls the Automated
Attendant (Welcome Message and
Instruction Menu) that is set up for the
Subscriber's or Message Center's Next
Call Routing Mailbox. (This may be dif-
ferent than the Automated Attendant that
answers your company's incoming calls.)
