Switching the Play Modes

The play modes of the player include the program mode,
disc random mode and all random mode in addition to
the track mode for normal playback.
However, with some DVDs and VCDs, the partitions in
the recording are not related with the track number
assignment. As a result, repeat playback may not be
available with such software.

Set the mode switch of the joystick remote to the
Orange position.

While the player is in stop mode, each press of
switches the play mode.
Program mode: Desired tracks in a desired disc can
be programmed in the desired order.
Disc random mode: Tracks in a desired disc can be
played in a random order.
All random mode: Tracks in all discs in the tray can
be played in a random order.
Track mode: Normal playback in order of tracks.
¶ Some operations may be restricted depending on
the played disc or player status.
¶ When the played disc is a P.B.C.-compatible VCD,
its P.B.C. is on and you want to switch the play
mode, stop the player, set the mode switch of the
joystick remote to the Blue position, then press the
P.B.C. button to switch it off.

Program Playback

Desired tracks in a desired disc can be programmed in
the desired order. (Program playback is not available with
DVD VIDEO, MP3 disc.)

Registering and playing the program

Insert all of the discs to be used in programming in the
tray, close it and press the DISC 1 to 5 buttons so that
the player reads the disc information by playing each
disc until display "READING" disappears. (If the tray is
opened after this, the above procedure should be
repeated so that the player reads all disc information
