Setting Up the Battery
The DZ-BP16 battery pack provided with this DVD camcorder has not been charged
at purchase time: Charge it before using the DVD camcorder.
Caution
• Be sure to use the DZ-BP16 or DZ-BP28 battery exclusively for the DVD camcorder: Using other
batteries could cause the DVD camcorder to malfunction, or result in fire.
Charging Battery
Use the provided AC adapter/charger to charge the battery.
Cautions
• Charging will not be possible if the DC power cable is left connected to the AC adapter/charger:
Disconnect the DC power cable when charging the battery.
• Charge the battery at ambient temperature of 50-86 F (10-30 C).
• Be sure to use the ACP1 AC adapter/charger to charge the battery: Using a charger other than that
specified could cause electric shock or fire.
1. Insert the power cable plug into the AC input jack (AC IN) of AC
adapter/charger.
2. Connect the plug on the other end of power cable to AC outlet.
The POWER indicator on the AC adapter/charger will light.
