- Page 2 The Digital Mammography Phantom was designed to evaluate image quality in digi- tal mammography systems currently used for stereotactic biopsy and localization. This phantom is a miniaturization of the CIRS Model 015, Mammography Accredita- tion Phantom used for routine mammography quality assurance. Objects within the phantom simulate calcifications, fibrous calcifications in ducts, and tumor masses.
