    TENSIONING THE BELT If when you plant your foot on the belt, you can feel a sliping sensation then the belt has been stretched and is slipping over the roller. This is normal and common adjustment on a new treadmill. To eliminate this slipping, tighten both sides of the rear roller by turning a allen wrench 1/4 as shown above.
