    Safety instructions Safety instructions Intended use This device is intended to be used for electronic sound generation using a piano key‐ board. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in per‐ sonal injury or property damage.

    Assembly instructions Assembly instructions Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
  • Page 10 Assembly instructions Power adapter Make sure that the device is turned off before you connect it to the power supply or disconnect it. Press the left key repeatedly until the volume is at minimum before inserting the batteries into the keyboard. This is to protect the speakers from damage. Connect the cable from the power adapter outlet to the input socket [DC 9V] on the rear panel of the keyboard.

    Connection options Connection options Headphones Use the output socket [Headphones] to connect headphones to the keyboard. DC 9V Headphones Connecting headphones (not supplied) to the output mutes the speakers. Never operate the headphones at high volume as this can permanently damage your hearing.

    Operating Operating 7.1 Powering up the keyboard Press [ON] / [OFF] to turn the keyboard on. ð The keyboard is operational. Press [ON] / [OFF] again to turn the keyboard off. 7.1.1 Automatic shutoff If the keyboard is not used for 5 minutes, it automatically switches to standby mode. Press any button to reactivate the keyboard.

    Operating 7.5 Transposing With this function you can adjust the pitch of the keyboard in up to 6 semitone steps up or down. Press the left button to adjust the pitch of the keyboard downwards. Press the right button to adjust the pitch of the keyboard upwards. Press both buttons simultaneously to restore the default setting.

    Operating Deactivating chord accompaniment With this function you can deactivate the chord accompaniment. Press [Chord clear] to deactivate the chord accompaniment. ð The rhythm continues without chord accompaniment. 7.7 Record and playback You can record and play a maximum of 48 individual tones as a melody. Only one note is recorded from a chord played.

    Operating 7.9 Voice selection The keyboard offers 300 voices in total. Press [Voice] to activate the Voice mode. Press [–] or [+] to select a desired voice (see Ä Chapter 10 ‘Voice list’ on page 27). ð The display shows the current voice number. Alternatively, you can select the desired voice with [0]…[9].

    Operating 7.12 Synchronous start function With this function you can activate or deactivate the synchronous start function in order to start an accompaniment. Press [Sync] to activate the sync accompaniment. Press one of the 19 left piano keys to start the accompaniment. Press [Sync] to stop the accompaniment.

    Operating 7.19 Sustain effect This function allows you to add a sustain effect to the sounds. You can let tones linger after you lift your fingers from the keyboard. Press [Sustain] to activate the Sustain effect. ð The display shows ‘SUS’ . Press [Sustain] again to deactivate the Sustain effect.
