Where should Big Buttons be located?
The big button is a free-standing device which can be placed on a table within reach of the user.
One press of the button will initiate an emergency alarm call to a local Carer or remote control centre.
This product is suitable for persons with mobility or dexterity difficulties.
Installation
Select the best location, and then simply place the big button on the table, cabinet, shelf, etc.
Registering the Big Button
It is necessary to register a new big button onto the warden call system, at-home alarm unit or Nursecall system.
See the following pages for how to put each of these products into registration mode.
The range of all radio devices can be affected by the working environment - always take care during installation and
perform several test calls from all extremes of the building.
Battery Life
The big button battery is checked once a day, if the voltage falls and stays below a pre-set level for 7 consecutive days a low
battery alert is automatically transmitted. Once a low battery call is received the big button should be replaced within 7 days.
Big buttons must be returned to Tynetec/Aidcall for battery replacement.
Detailed information on battery management for all Tynetec/Aidcall products is available - request Doc No. FM0630.
Maintenance
The big button should be activated once a month to check the battery and verify operation.
The unit can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, never use detergents or polish, and do not fully submerge in water.
