Troubleshooting
Message
Cannot save more than 30 Preset
stations.
Do not disconnect.
Firmware update failed.

Meaning
30 broadcast stations are
already preset.
The player is connected to
a computer or other
external devices to
transfer data.
Updating the firmware
failed to complete.
 The database for songs,
videos (NWZ-S615F/
S616F/S618F only) or
photos is damaged.
The player's battery is
running low.
No songs exist that start
with the selected initial
letter, hence the result of
the "Initial Search"
function.
Even after data is
transferred, there is no
information about data
transferred to the player.
There are no photos that
can be displayed on the
player.
You are trying to display a
photo when there are no
photos stored on the
player.
You are trying to start
playback by selecting
"Play" from the option
menu, but there are no
songs in the selected folder.
Remedy
Delete unnecessary stations
first (  page 72), then
preset the stations you want
within the limit number.
This is not an error
message. Do not
disconnect the USB cable
until transferring
completes.
Follow the instructions
displayed on your
computer to retry
updating the firmware.
 Transfer songs, videos
(NWZ-S615F/S616F/
S618F only), or photos
again.
 If the remedy above
does not solve the
problem, format the
built-in flash memory
(  page 88), then
transfer the data again.
Charge the battery ( 
page 92).
Press the ///
button to select other
initial letters.
Transfer the data again to
the player using Windows
Explorer, or another
transfer capable software.
Transfer photos in a
supported format.
