Operation
Before operating torch check the following:
– Is TIG welding torch firmly connected
to LORCH power source ?
– Is torch fitted with the correct parts for
task at hand?
– Are parameters set in power source?
– If water cooled: is circulating cooling
unit working and is there sufficient
coolant flow?
– Has gas been tested to prevent con-
tamination and / or to check gas pres-
sure ?
‰ If all the above points have positive re-
sults, you can begin your welding job.

Different functions of LORCH
TIG welding torch
Depending on the desired functionality
and possibilities of the LORCH TIG power
source, the welding torch can be equipped
with different switch modules.

LED amperage: is lit if the welding cur-

rent is readable in the display (15).
LED Job: is lit if a job is visible in the

display (15).
Powermaster LED 3: In welding ma-

chine with free selectable parameters,
these can be saved there. Initial pa-
rameter is "second current I2".
Powermaster LED 4: In welding ma-

chine with free selectable parameters,
these can be saved there.
Display: shows parameter values.

Mode button: switch between the pa-

rameters LED (11) to LED (14). Press
7 seconds to change the display (15)
to right or left hand mode. Index is a
dot at the bottom right. Press 2 sec-
onds to unlock the mode-button for 15
seconds (with activated key lock).
