NOTE: Use reduction mode only when you are printing on letter wide
paper in landscape orientation or you are using ledger-size paper in
portrait orientation.
It is recommended that you use the reduction mode with MS-DOS
applications only (not Windows applications). Windows applications
have a fit-to-page feature that is not compatible with reduction mode.
In reduction mode, the printer ignores the page length command and the
perforation skip command. Before using reduction mode, make sure the
following conditions are set:

Set the page length to 66 lines or less.

Place a form feed (FF) code at the end of each page.
To select the reduction mode, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the printer is on-line.
2. Press and hold the LF/FF button.
3. Press the PRINT MODE button. The printer beeps twice and the
indicator lights for the current print mode blink slowly.
4. Load paper and begin your print operation.
NOTE: This mode may be overridden by your software.
To disable reduction mode, press and hold the LF/FF button and press
the PRINT MODE button. You can also turn off the printer.
