For proper tool operation and production of grooves that are within Victaulic specifications, the following guidelines must be followed . 1. Victaulic requires square-cut pipe for use with grooved-end pipe products . 2. Raised external weld beads, seams, and burrs must be ground flush with the pipe surface 2 inches/50 mm back from the pipe ends .
