Remote control
The remote does not function.
• Point the remote at the remote sensor on
the receiver.
• Remove any obstacles in the path between
the remote and the receiver.
• Replace all the batteries in the remote with
new ones, if they are weak.
• Make sure that the command modes of the
receiver and the remote are the same. If the
command mode of the receiver and the
remote are different, you cannot operate
the receiver with the remote (page 37).
• Make sure you select the correct input on
the remote.
• When you operate a programmed non-
Sony component, the remote may not
function properly depending on the model
and the maker of the component.
Error messages
If there is a malfunction, the display shows a
code of two numbers and a message. You can
check the condition of the system by the
message. Refer to the following table to solve
the problem. If any problem persists, consult
your nearest Sony dealer.
PROTECTOR
Irregular current is output from the speakers
or the USB device, or the upper panel of the
receiver is covered with something. The
receiver will automatically turn off after a
few seconds. Check the speakers or the USB
device connection and turn on the power
again.
