G Shooting in Program AE

You can select the settings for various functions to suit your preferences.
AE stands for Auto Exposure.
What if the shutter speed and aperture value are displayed
in red?
If a correct exposure cannot be obtained when pressing the shutter button
halfway, the shutter speed and aperture value display in red. Try the following
settings to obtain the correct exposure.
Turn on the flash
Select a higher ISO speed (p. 69)
h Turning the Flash On
You can make the flash fire every time you shoot. At maximum wide angle,
the flash range is approximately 30 cm – 4.0 m (12 in. – 13 ft.), and at
maximum telephoto, it is 30 cm – 2.0 m (12 in. – 6.6 ft.)

Set the mode dial to G (p. 40).
Adjust the settings according to
your purposes (pp. 64 – 73).
Shoot.
Select h.
After pressing the r button, press the qr
buttons to select h, then press the m
button.
Once set, h will appear.
