To Install the Battery Pack
1. Save all files and close all applications.
2. Turn o the Power Switch and remove the
AC Adapter.
3. With the battery con n ector tow a rd the back of
the notebook align the tracks on the side of t h e
b a t tery with the groves in the side of the bay.
4. Slide the battery toward the back of your
notebook until it clicks into place.
5. P lug in the AC Ad a pter and ch a r ge the battery.

Under federal, state or local law it may be
illegal to dispose of batteries by putting
them in the trash. Please take care of our
e n v i ronment and dispose of batteries
p ro p e r l y. Check with your local govern-
ment authority for details re g a rding re c y-
cling or disposing of the old battery, or

notebook or to charge the battery.

Multi-function Bay

The bay on the ri ght front panel of your note-
book accom m od a tes the rem ova ble modular C D -
ROM Drive, or the rem ova ble modular F l oppy
Disk Drive.
P O I N T
The Multi-function Bay devices can be
w a rm swapped, i.e. installed with the power
On and the system in Suspend Mode.
