To focus on a subject that is off to one side or to set the exposure before composing the final shot, lock the AF and AE settings. Then take the picture to get the best result.

    5.2 INSTALLATION ON A Mac OS 9.2 After restarting the Macintosh, the “FinePixViewer installation completed” message appears. Click “Using FinePixViewer” to view the basic FinePixViewer functions. To install Acrobat Reader, click “Installing Acrobat Reader”. ● Install Adobe Systems’ Acrobat Reader software to read the FinePixViewer User’s Guide (PDF). If the latest version already has been installed, this step is not required.

Use the AC power adapter to prevent losing power at inconvenient times, such as when downloading photographed images to your PC. You can take pictures and play back images without worrying about depleting the batteries.
