  • Page 16 VCR operation Pause/still picture control To temporarily stop playback, press the P/STILL button. A still picture and the display STILL will appear on the screen. To advance the picture frame by frame, repeatedly press the P/STILL button. If a still picture lasts for more than five minutes, the set will switch to the stop mode to protect the tape and the video heads.
  • Page 17 VCR operation Clock/counter selection Each time the CLOCK/COUNT button is pressed, the current time and the tape counter appears alternately. The tape counter displays the tape travel time in hours, minutes and seconds during recording and playback. Note : To reset the counter to M 0:00:00 , press the RESET button.

  • Page 20 Other functions Contents Picture adjustment You can adjust picture contrast, brightness, colour intensity, sharpness and tint (NTSC AV only) to the levels you prefer. 1. Press the PICTURE button or the MENU button on the front panel. The Picture set mode will appear.
  • Page 21 Other functions Display You can verify programme number, system, time and date by pressing the DISPLAY button. The on screen display disappears after a few seconds. If you press this button twice, the current time or tape counter is displayed continuously. Note : When the video cassette tape is inserted, VCR operating mode is displayed and the time and date can be replaced with the tape counter by pressing the CLOCK/COUNT button.

  • Page 23 Connection of external equipment Contents You can connect additional equipment, such as an external VCR, a camcorder, a pay TV decoder, etc. to your set. Aerial socket 1. Connect the RF out socket of the external VCR to the aerial socket on the back of the set.
  • Page 24 Troubleshooting check list Contents IN TV/VCR RECEPTION Symptoms Check Points Make sure the unit is plugged into a working AC power socket. Check that the power is switched to 'ON'. No picture or sound Check aerial is properly connected along with any other connections. If an indoor aerial is used, see it is pointing in the right direction.
