Disc/USB Mass Storage Class Device
Operations
The disc/USB device does not play.

The disc is placed upside down. Place the disc
with the label side facing up.
The disc is scratched or dirty.

The disc is recorded with the "packet writing
(UDF file unit)". It cannot be played. Check the
files you want to play back.

The USB device is not connected properly.
MP3/WMA groups and tracks are not played
back as you expect.

Playing order may change if you edit a file
name on the PC.
The disc sound is discontinuous.

The disc is scratched or dirty.
B
Play MP3/WMA files that are properly written.
Sounds from USB device are interrupted.

Noise and static electricity may stop the sound.
In this case, disconnect and connect the USB
device again after turning off the System.
Radio Operations
Hard to listen to broadcasts because of noise.

Extend and position the FM antenna properly.
Recording Operations
Unable to record.

There is not enough free space in the USB
device.

Disable the write protection of the USB device.

Digital recording is prohibited due to SCMS.
Perform analog recording. (p. 38)
Timer Operations
Unable to set the sleep timer

Timer or recording timer is working. Turn off the
timer. During timer/recording timer is working,
sleep timer does not work.
Daily timer does not start working.

The clock needs to be set. Clock setting is
canceled when the AC power cord is
unplugged from the AC outlet, causing the
daily timer to stop functioning.

The System is turned on when the on-time
comes. Timer starts working only when the
System is turned off.
Recording timer does not function.

The System is turned on when the on-time
comes. Recording timer starts working only
when the System is turned off.
