Radio (RDS) operation
AF (Alternative frequency)
When the reception quality drops, the tuner
automatically changes to another station in
the network, broadcasting a better reception
quality, using the PI and AF codes.
This means : wherever you drive, you can
continue to listen to the same program without
interruptions.
1. Touch the "
" button.
"AF On" appears on the screen.
2. To cancel, touch it again.

TA (Traffic announcement identifi-
cation)
This is an ON/OFF switching signal that indi-
cates when a traffic announcement is on air.

The "TA On" appears on the screen.

PTY (Program type recognition)
You can select your favorite program type.

2. The PTY list displays in the screen.
3. Touch one of your favorite program types.
4. Touch one of your favorite PTY code
5. "PTY SEARCH" appears on the screen.

The radio station's information is displayed on
the screen.

Some RDS stations may not choose to
include some of these additional features. If
the data required for the selected mode is not
being transmitted, the screen will show a
"RadioText Information" message.
