How to Start the Parameter Editor for Ports/Channels

HP 81200 Data Generator/Analyzer Platform User Guide, Revision 2.1
How to Start the Parameter Editor
for Ports/Channels
The Parameter Editor has several modes of operation. It differentiates
between global system parameters and parameters for generator and
analyzer channels.
The setting of global parameters is described in "Setting Global System
Parameters" on page 83.
Whether the Parameter Editor enters the mode for setting generator
parameters or the mode for setting analyzer parameters depends on the
type of port or channel that has been chosen when starting the Parameter
Editor.
How to Start the Parameter Editor for Setting
Port Parameters
Port parameters refer to all channels connected to a port. Individual
channel parameters override port parameters.
To start the Parameter Editor for setting port parameters, you have the
following options:
• If the Connection Editor is displayed, double-click the port in the DUT
image. Alternatively, you can also click on the port name with the right
mouse button and select Properties.
• Click the Parameter Editor icon in the tool bar
or
Choose Parameter Editor from the Go menu.
You get a list of all the items that have been configured and can have
parameters. The Parameter Editor needs your decision to branch to the
appropriate parameter window.
