Avoid contact with the system during thunderstorms.
If a thunderstorm is approaching while the server is still plugged in, do not touch any part of the system, including the
cables. In addition, do not connect or remove any equipment. Failure to follow this warning may cause an electric
shock if there is a lightning strike.

Cautions on Installation, Movement, Storage, and Connection
Do not install this product in any place other than specified.
Do not install this product in the following places or any place other than specified in this User's Guide. Failure to
follow this instruction may cause a fire.
● a dusty place
● a place exposed to direct sunlight
Do not use any unauthorized interface cable.
Use only interface cables provided by NEC and locate a proper device and connector before connecting a cable.
Using an authorized cable or connecting a cable to an improper destination may cause a short circuit, resulting in a
fire.

● Do not use the server with loose cable connections. ● Do not use any damaged cable / connector.
● Securely fasten connectors with supplied screws, if any.
Do not use the equipment in the place where corrosive gases exist.
Make sure not to locate or use this product in the place where corrosive gases (sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide,
nitrogen dioxide, chlorine, ammonia, ozone, etc) exist. Also, do not set it in the environment where the air (or dust)
includes components accelerating corrosion (ex. sulfur, sodium chloride) or conductive metals. There is a risk of a fire
due to corrosion and shorts of an internal printed board.
Make sure to complete device installation.
Always install this product firmly. An incompletely installed device may cause a contact failure, resulting in smoking or
fire.
To install this option product to your server, read, understand and confirm the instruction (including CAUTION) in the User's Guide of the server
prior to installation.
