Preparing for the
"BRAVIA" Sync
The receiver is compatible with the "Control
for HDMI-Easy Setting" function.
• If your TV is compatible with the "Control
for HDMI-Easy Setting" function, you can
set the Control for HDMI function of the
receiver and playback components
automatically by setting the TV (page 90).
• If your TV is not compatible with the
"Control for HDMI-Easy Setting" function,
set the Control for HDMI function of the
receiver, playback components and TV
individually (page 90).
If your TV is compatible with the
"Control for HDMI-Easy Setting"
function
The Control for HDMI function of the receiver
can be turned on simultaneously by turning on
the Control for HDMI function of the TV.

Connect the receiver, TV and playback
components via HDMI connection
(page 25).
(The respective components must be
compatible with the Control for HDMI
function.)

Turn on the receiver, TV and playback
components.

Turn on the Control for HDMI function
of the TV.
The Control for HDMI function of the
receiver and all the connected components
are turned on simultaneously. When the
setup is completed, "COMPLETE" will
appear.
For details on setup of the TV, refer to the
operating instructions of your TV.

If your TV is not compatible with

Perform the steps given in "If your TV is
compatible with the "Control for HDMI-
Easy Setting" function" (page 90).

Press GUI MODE.
After "GUI ON" appears on the display for
a while, the GUI menu appears on the TV
screen.
Press MENU if the GUI menu does not
appear on the TV screen.

Press V/v repeatedly to select
" Settings", then press
The Settings menu list appears on the TV
screen.

Press V/v repeatedly to select "HDMI",
then press .

Press V/v repeatedly to select "Control
for HDMI", then press

Press V/v repeatedly to select "ON",
then press .
The Control for HDMI function is set to on.

Press GUI MODE to exit the GUI menu.
If the GUI menu is displayed, the Control
for HDMI function of the playback
components will not work properly.
