1.2 MODEL IDENTIFICATION

The 8800 series model numbers are composed codes that together indicate the
following information about each unit:
Series Region 2: Model Type
8800 NA: North America SUP: Supervisor
8800 BZ: Brazil 01C: 1 Channel Node
8800 AU: Australia 04C: 4 Channel Node
08C: 8 Channel Node
ADR: Addressable Node
Example: 8800-NA-01C-CBL

1.3 SUPERVISOR

Supervisor model types are distinguished by their physical connection to a PC.
The network supervisor unit controls the network and collects all data from the
nodes. The supervisor reads battery and temperature data, but it does not
possess sensor-reading functionality. Data stored by the supervisor may be
collected using Agent software or a Modbus client.

1.3.1 RS-232 (8800-XX-SUP-232)

Connects to a PC running the Agent program or other Modbus RTU master via
an RS-232 cable.
