Installing the air filter

Main work
–
Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and
allow it to dry properly.
Air filter cleaner ( p. 127)
Info
Only press the air filter to dry it, never wring it out.

Oil the dry air filter with a high-grade air filter oil.
Oil for foam air filter (

Clean the air filter box.
–
Check intake flange for damage and looseness.
Finishing work
–
Install the air filter. (
–
Install the air filter box cover. (
Main work
–
Mount the clean air filter on the air filter support.
–
Grease the air filter in area
Long-life grease ( p. 127)
–
Insert the air filter and position top retaining pin

The air filter is correctly positioned.
–
Secure the bottom retaining pin

If the air filter is not mounted correctly, dust and dirt
may enter the engine and result in damage.
