Default Configuration Files

The switch firmware contains default configuration files that are loaded at the
factory. When the switch first initializes, the default configuration files are loaded
into the active switch memory. The default settings allow the switch to perform
basic functions with minimal effort by the system administrator.
Custom configuration settings made by the administrator will override the default
settings and can be saved so that they are retained if the switch is rebooted.
However, if desired, you can revert the custom configuration settings to the
original factory defaults. The original factory default configuration files are a
permanent part of the firmware; you cannot deleted them or change their original
definitions.
