10. Gently insert the new lamp. (If it doesn't fit easily, make
sure it is facing the right way.)
11. Once the lamp is fully inserted, tighten its screws and
replace the cover, then tighten the cover screw. (The
projector won't turn on if the lamp cover is loose.)
12. Reset the lamp timer as described below.

Resetting the Lamp Timer

After you replace the lamp, you need to reset the lamp timer
using the projector's menus.
1. Press the
button on the remote control or on the

projector's control panel. You see the main menu.

Transporting the Projector

The projector contains many glass and precision parts. Follow
these guidelines to prevent damage:
When shipping the projector for repairs, use the original
packaging material if possible. If you do not have the
original packaging, use equivalent materials, placing plenty
of cushioning around the projector.

When transporting the projector a long distance, first place
it in a hard-shell shipping case, then pack it in a firm box
with cushioning around the case. (An optional case is
available from Epson.)
