10.1.1 Power Supply through the Diagnostic Socket

The tool can be powered through the diagnostic socket of the vehicle being
tested.

(*) The diagnostic cable can be different from the one shown in the figure.
Proceed as follows:
Connect the diagnostic cable to the tool's diagnostic connector.

2. Connect the diagnostic cable to the vehicle's diagnostic socket.
The green LED stays on if the tool is properly supplied.
The tool receives power from the vehicle's battery through the diagnostic
socket.
