    The operating instructions must always be kept ready to hand! Authorisation for service technicians of our service partners MEIKO exclusively authorises authorised service partners for commissioning, inductions, repairs, maintenance, assembly and installation of the corresponding product groups within MEIKO devices.

The linear attachements of the polycord leaves virtually the whole of the conveyor surface free.     6.2.2 Basic safety measure for maintenance Observe the maintenance intervals prescribed in the operating instructions! Observe the maintenance instructions for the individual components! Danger of injury from entering a danger zone CAUTION! Unauthorised persons might be in or enter the danger zone during transport, assembly, commissioning, maintenance and repair work.

    • The protective measures and connection of the equipotential bonding must be car- ried out in as per VDE 0100 part 540 and part 710 and the requirements of local utility companies. • The bi-cord conveying system may only be operated at the voltage and frequency and with the fuse protection specified on the rating plate.

    Assembly instructions (for a partially completed machine) These apply where the MEIKO product is a partially completed machine in the sense of the Machinery Directive (Directive 2006/42/EC). Observe the following items when connecting MEIKO products to an existing conveying system/washing machine: The components must be aligned with one another, connected in an appropriate man- ner, and fastened so that safe operation is assured.

    To avoid a moving of the installation, especially in the wash-up area, it must be fixed to the floor. The place of installation can only be altered with approval of Mssrs. MEIKO: Should you intend to install and assemble the installation yourself, please ask for detailed and exact installation and assembly instructions.

    Special types of danger Accident protection at tray-onset area If the accident protection is removed from the tray-onset area or if it is incorrectly mounted, the danger arises that somebody touches the round belt conveyor body from below so that the hands could be pulled in and injured.

    10.3 Control panel A control panel is located at the end of the washware clearing section in the dishwashing OFF key ON key area.     10.5 Operation The trays with the dishes are normally charged at the tray-onset area and transported into the wash-up area. There, the trays with the dishes are sorted and loaded into the dish- washing machine. The installation is switched on and off at the stripping and sorting stations in the wash-up area.

    10.7 Jam switch option Toggle switch for queue operation or continuous operation JAM SWITCH option with the CONTINUOUS OPERATION - QUEUE OPERATION toggle switch If CONTINUOUS OPERATION operating mode is selected, all drive motors are active and are permanently driven by the control system. QUEUE OPERATION is only recommended during quiet times for the pot wash.

    10.8 Transport stop key With this option, one or more transport stop keys may be present on the washware clearing stations. Functional description: By pressing a transport stop key, the bi-cord conveying system stops and the white light in the key is switched on. When using several transport stop keys in the bi-cord conveying system, all push buttons light up white.

    10.12 Folding conveyor table A folding conveyor table is used when an access route is needed through the bi-cord con- veying system. This could be for maintenance, inspection, access to a work station or as an emergency exit. Function: The folding conveyor table is fitted with two pneumatic springs to take the majority of the conveyor table's weight when it is folded.

    Cleaning For a long service life of the transport system a daily thorough cleaning is very important in the tray-onset area and in the wash-up area especially in the dish stripping area. Please observe that the emergency stop or the main switch is activated in case of cleaning, inspection or maintenance works.

    Determination of belt tension For round belts (15mm in diameter) with tension members The belt tension should be 0.8%!! The belt can pull more weight at a higher tension rating than at a lower tension rating. If the tension is too low, it can result in the belt slipping from the drive pulley in the wedge profile.

    Instructions for personnel Only trained and instructed personnel is allowed to work at the round belt transport system. The responsibilities of the personnel must be clearly determined, reg. operation, mainte- nance and repair. Personnel to be instructed must always work at the round belt transport system under the supervision of an experienced person.

    Fire protection Conveyor systems leading through a fire danger zone have to be provided with a suitable fire protection. We will be always at your disposal for giving advice in case of need. Escape route Conveyor systems crossing an escape route have to be provided with a separation in a suitable section.
