THE SHIFT BUTTON Let’s spend a few minutes getting acquainted with the fundamental fea- tures of the Nord Electro 6. In this chapter some of the most common tasks and scenarios will be described in a stepwise fashion. Many panel controls on the Nord Electro 6 have a second- ary function, which is printed immediately below it.
Press the Live Mode button again to exit Live Mode and return to the Program banks. 16 | Nord ElEctro 6 UsEr MaNUal os v2.6x acoUstIc PIaNo EQ sEttINGs Unlike other EQ options, the SOFT setting for acoustic pianos does not apply filtering to the sound. Instead, the sample selection for the current piano is adjusted so that a softer sample is selected for a given velocity, giving the sound an intimate and subdued quality.

8. EffEcts | 23 The Rotary Drive is dependent on the level of the input signal. If the instrument routed to the Rotary is set to a very low level, the amount of available drive will be significantly reduced. This is also how it works with the “real articles”...

UsB coNNEctIoN General guide on audio connections: Before turning on your amplifier, the UsB port is used for connecting the Nord Electro 6 to a computer. make all audio connections. always turn on the amplifier last, and when the connection can be used for transferring MIdI, for os updates and shutting down, always turn off your amplifier or active speakers first.
