Principles

The principle of Equa-Flow
bank is the same as any other. To achieve this, the following is necessary:
1. The cold water manifold (cold header assembly) must be designed to balance the flow to each
storage tank i.e. each branch line must be the same diameter and length and be fitted with
identical ball or gate valves (refer to diagram below).
2. The heating water manifold (primary return header assembly) must be designed to balance the
flow from each water heater and/or storage tank i.e. each branch line must be the same diameter
and length and be fitted with identical ball or gate valves (refer to diagram below). Water must exit
from the opposite end to which it enters the manifold.
