Overload Indicator
The Overload indicator illuminates to signal an overcurrent problem external to the discharging power module.
Warning: If the Overload indicator is flashing or illuminated, remove power modules from the ZeroWire
Mobile and contact NDS Customer Service.
Service Indicator
If the Service indicator illuminates, perform a reset by pressing and holding the power switch for 20 seconds until
the blue LED under the Charge Level LEDs illuminates
Warning: If the Service indicator is illuminated or continues to flash after a reset, remove the power
module from use and contact NDS Customer Service.
Note: When undocked, the Service indicator of a failed power module will flash when the power switch is
pressed.
Charge Level LED Indicators
Each Charge Level LED represents approximately 10% of battery capacity. When all
LEDs are illuminated, the power module is fully charged.
The Power Module status is indicated by the Charge Level LED. A fully charged power
module is indicated by all 10 WHITE LEDs illuminated solid. When the Power Module
has reached a low level of charge the LEDs will turn AMBER YELLOW as a caution
requiring prompt action to replace the Power Module with a charged one. A
completely depleted battery is indicated by a single amber yellow pulsing LED, and
requires charging.
It is recommended that the battery is placed on full charge within 5 days from being
discharged below 20%.
Check Undocked Power Module Charge Levels
Charge levels of undocked power modules can be checked by tapping the power
switch to illuminate the charge level LEDs.

Power Module Charging

A single Power Module will take approximately 2.5 hours to become 90% charged from a fully discharged state.
While charging, the current charge level is indicated with illuminated charge level LEDs.
• A single LED cycles from bottom to top to indicate the ongoing progression of the charging process.
• The top LED blinks on and off while charging from 90 –100%. When fully charged, all LEDs and remain
illuminated.
A Power Module that is being charged will indicate the current state of charge by displaying the relevant number
of solid white LEDs on the Charge Level LED display. The Charge Level LED will display a single chasing LED (from
LED 1 to LED 10) indicating that the Power Module is being charged.
Once fully charged the Power Module(s) will automatically stop charging to prevent damage due to
overcharging. The system will then continue to monitor the state of charge of the power module(s) and
automatically resume charging if the state of charge falls below 90%.
Power Module Discharging
During use, Charge Level LEDs of an active power module turn off sequentially from the top down as the charge
level decreases.
• When the charge level reaches 30%, the bottom 3 LEDs turn amber, indicating the power module should be
placed on the charger.
• When the charge level reaches 10%, only the bottom amber LED is illuminated and the discharging function is
transferred to the secondary power module.
• When 30 minutes remain prior to full discharge of a secondary power module, if the depleted primary power
module has not been replaced with a charged unit, the unit will beep at 2-minute intervals. If the charge level
is less than 10%, the bottom LED will blink with the 2-minute interval beeps until the unit is powered off.
