    Your espresso machine 1.3 Introduction This espresso machine will make delicious cups of coffee, espresso and cappuccino. You can customise the settings of the machine to suit your personal preferences and tastes. This manual describes how to make optimum use of the espresso machine. Besides information on how to operate the machine, you will also find background information that may come in handy when using this appliance.

    3 Use 3.1 Preparation Using for the first time The first time you switch on the appliance and every time that it is plugged in, the appliance makes a SELF-DIAGNOSIS operation when you press the main ON/OFF switch (see A on page 2). Then the appliance switches off. To turn it on, press the on/off button on the control panel.

    3 Use 3.2 Operation 3.2.1 Preparing coffee (using coffeebeans) 1. The appliance is preset to make coffee with a normal taste.     1 Ihr Kaffeevollautomat Einleitung Mit diesem Kaffeevollautomaten können Sie erstklassigen Kaffee, Espresso oder Capuccino zubereiten. Sie können die Einstellungen Ihren Wünschen und Ihrem Geschmack anpassen. Dieses Handbuch beschreibt, wie Sie Ihren Kaffeevollautomaten optimal gebrauchen können. Neben den Bedienungshinweisen finden Sie auch andere Informationen, die Ihnen bei der Bedienung des Geräts nützlich sein können.

    2 Sicherheitshinweise Wichtige Hinweise Wie bei jedem elektrischen Gerät, ist auch hier eine bestimmte Vorsicht notwendig. • Das Gerät ist ausschließlich zum Gebrauch im Haushalt bestimmt (ca. 3000 Kaffeetassen pro Jahr).     3 Gebrauch Vorbereitung Erste Inbetriebnahme Beim ersten Einschalten des Geräts und nach jedem erneuten Anschluss an das elektrische Versorgungsnetz führt das Gerät nach Betätigung des Hauptschalters Ein/Aus eine Selbstdiagnose durch (siehe Punkt A auf Seite 2). Danach schaltet sich das Gerät aus. Um es wieder einzuschalten, drücken Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste auf dem Bedienfeld.

    3 Gebrauch Funktion 3.2.1 Zubereitung von Kaffee (mit Kaffeebohnen) 1. Das Gerät wurde werkseitig auf die Zubereitung von Kaffee mit normalem Aroma eingestellt. Sie können jedoch auch ein milderes oder ein extra-starkes Aroma einstellen. Wählen Sie den gewünschten Geschmack mit der Taste , der ausgewählte Kaffeegeschmack wird auf dem Display angezeigt.
  • Page 45 3 Gebrauch Wenn die gewünschte Menge erreicht ist, schaltet das Gerät automatisch den Kaffeeauslauf ab und befördert den Kaffeesatz in den Tresterbehälter. 4. Nach ein paar Sekunden erscheint auf dem Display erneut die Meldung, dass das Gerät betriebsbereit ist und Sie können eine weitere Tasse Kaffee zubereiten. Zum Ausschalten des Geräts die Taste Ein/Aus drücken ( ).

  • Page 47 3 Gebrauch Wenn Sie den Tresterbehälter entfernen, entfernen Sie immer auch die Abtropfschale, dadurch wird verhindert, dass diese beim Entfernen des Tresterbehälters aus dem Gerät herausfällt (Abb. 10). Entfernen Sie den Tresterbehälter und reinigen Sie ihn gründlich, einschließlich aller Ablagerungen am Boden des Behälters. Wenn Sie die Abtropfschale entfernen, muss auch der Tresterbehälter entfernt werden, auch wenn er nicht voll ist.
  • Page 48 3 Gebrauch 3.2.4 Mahlgrad einstellen Wenn Sie nach ein paar Tassen Kaffee feststellen, dass der Kaffee zu schnell oder zu langsam austritt (tropfenweise), sollten Sie die Mahlgradeinstellung verändern (Abb. 11). Sie dürfen den Einstellknebel nur drehen, wenn die Kaffeemühle eingeschaltet ist. Bei jeder Drehung des Reglers um eine Stufe (Klick) im Uhrzeigersinn verdrehen, fließt der Kaffee schneller (ohne zu tropfen).

  • Page 50 3 Gebrauch Wenn Sie nach der Zubereitung des Kaffees aus Kaffeepulver wieder Kaffee aus Bohnen zubereiten möchten, schalten Sie Kaffeepulverfunktion aus, indem Sie noch einmal die Taste drücken. Das Mahlwerk ist wieder eingeschaltet. 3.2.7 Heißwasserzubereitung Achten Sie immer darauf, dass das Gerät betriebsbereit ist. 3 2 1 1.

Sie müssen jedoch aufpassen, dass Sie ihn nicht tiefer als bis zum Markierungsstrich tauchen (siehe Pfeil auf Abb. 16). Drücken Sie die Dampftaste (achten Sie darauf, sich nicht verbrühen) und dann die Taste OK. Aus dem Milchaufschäumer entweicht nun ein starker Dampfstoß, der die Milch aufschäumt.

    4 Pflege Reinigung und Pflege Bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen, schalten Sie es durch Drücken der Ein-/Aus-Taste dem Bedienfeld aus und lassen Sie es abkühlen. Der Kaffeevollautomat ist ein elektrisches Gerät. Tauchen Sie es auf keinen Fall ins Wasser. Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine Lösungsmittel oder Scheuerpulver.
  • Page 54 4 Pflege Die Brüheinheit kann nur herausgenommen werden, wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist (mit der Taste "Ein/Aus" ). Falls Sie versuchen sollten, die Brüheinheit bei eingeschalteter Kaffeemaschine herauszunehmen, könnte diese ernsthaft beschädigt werden. Reinigen Sie die Brüheinheit ohne Benutzung von Spülmitteln unter fließendem Leitungswasser.

    4 Pflege Änderung und Einstellung der Menüparameter Folgende Menüparameter und Funktionen können vom Benutzer geändert werden: • Uhrzeit; • Einschaltzeit für die Einschaltautomatik; • Entkalkungsprozess; • Kaffeetemperatur; • Einstellen der Einschaltdauer; • Wasserhärte; • Werkseinstellungen. 4.2.1 Einstellung der Uhr Gehen Sie zum Einstellen der Uhrzeit folgendermaßen vor: 1.

  • Page 59 4 Pflege 4.2.6 Wasserhärte einstellen Das Gerät zeigt die Entkalkungsmeldung "BITTE ENTKALKEN" nach einer werkseitig voreingestellten Betriebsdauer an. Diese Berechnung beruht auf Leitungswasser mit dem höchstmöglichen Härtegrad. Die voreingestellte Betriebsdauer lässt sich nach Bedarf verlängern, sodass das Gerät nicht so oft entkalkt werden muss. Dazu muss am Gerät der tatsächliche Kalkgehalt im Wasser (Härtegrad) eingestellt werden.
