ENERGY STAR
Compliance
Any Dell product bearing the ENERGY STAR
emblem on the product or on a startup screen is
certified to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
ENERGY STAR requirements as configured when shipped by Dell.

ENERGY STAR 5.0

Desktops, Notebooks, and Workstations manufactured after July 1,
2009 that bear the ENERGY STAR emblem meet the more advanced
5.0 requirements. Because of these requirements, your computer
has a more efficient power supply and other features that could
annually:
• Save you 130 kWh of electricity.
• Prevent 200 lb of green house gas emissions (enough to fill a
large room).
However, this computer can save even more energy due to ENERGY
STAR power management features, which allow the computer to
enter a very low power mode when not in use for a specified period
of time. These power management features, activated on all ENERGY
STAR qualified computers, could save you up to 500 kWh of
electricity annually, equivalent to:
• Preventing as much greenhouse gas emissions as taking your
car off the road for 3 weeks.
• Planting a 70 ft x 70 ft grove of trees.
