    SYMBOLS The following warning symbols appear throughout this manual and indicate the appropriate safety measures you should take when operating and maintaining the appliance. Personal Safety ■ This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

    Battery Pack Operation WARNING ® Use only with 24V Lawnmaster HYCH0132400500B or HYCH0132400500G battery charger. The battery charger supplied is specifically designed for the lithium-ion battery used in this garden appliance and may cause risk of fire if used with a non-compatible battery pack.

  • Page 17 OPERATION WARNING After turning off the appliance, the trimmer head will continue to rotate for some time. Allow the trimmer head to come to a complete standstill. Keep hands and feet well away. Risk of injury! Cutting Device - Advancing the Trimmer Line (See Fig. 9) NOTE: A short or worn trimming line will not cut well.
  • Page 18 OPERATION Safety Guard WARNING The line cutting blade on the safety guard is delivered with a protective covering. Ensure this is removed before first use. Beware of sharp edges. The device is fitted with a safety guard to protect the operator against thrown objects during operation.
  • Page 19 OPERATION Pivoting Head (See Fig. 15) ■ The trimmer head has 5 different adjustable positions. ■ To adjust the trimmer head, press the head adjustment button and angle the trimmer head to the desired position (Fig. 15). Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean, dry cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
