    Functional description The Condair RH-VS steam humidification system consists of the Condair RH steam humidifier and the Condair VS steam distribution unit and has a maximum steam output of 1.8 kg/h. The steam humidifier can either be mounted on a wall or suspended from a ceiling (e.g. between the pipes of the ventilation unit) using the ceiling bracket available as an accessory.

    Installation of the maximum humidistat "B1" The maximum humidistat "B1" is always installed in the intended position (bores already exist) in the housing of the Condair VS steam distribution unit. 1. Loosen the screw on the housing cover and open the housing cover. 2. Carefully insert the maximum humidistat as far as it will go into the pre-drilled hole in the steam distribution housing and screw it onto the steam distribution housing using 4 sheet metal screws ø3.5x9.5 mm.

    Operation Condair RH-VS steam humidification system is operated via the Condair RH steam humidifier. It is es- sential to observe the information in the installation and operation manual of the Condair RH. 6.8.1 Operator inspections during operation The hygiene regulations of Standard VDI 6022 stipulate that during operation, the operator regularly checks the condition of the humidifier and the components of the humidification system that are installed in the air duct.

    For this reason: Before commencing work on the Condair RH-VS steam humidification system, the steam humidifier Condair RH must be taken out of service (see installation and operation manual of the steam humidifier) and the ventilation system switched off (see operating instructions for the ven- tilation system).

    Maintenance of the Condair RH-VS steam humidification system The Condair RH-VS steam humidification system should be serviced once a year (e.g., prior to the humidification season). For this purpose the components of the Condair VS steam distribution unit must be disassembled and cleaned: Disassembling 1. Shut the Condair RH steam humidifier down (see Condair RH installation and operation manual) and, if necessary, wait until the components have cooled down sufficiently, so that there is no longer a risk of burns.

    After cleaning the components, reassemble the Condair VS steam distribution unit in reverse order of steps 3 to 13 and then put the ventilation system and the Condair RH back into operation. Important: When reassembling, make sure that the silencer components are correctly placed in the housing again and that the steam and condensate hose are correctly attached to the connections.

    Decommissioning/Disposal Taking out of service If the Condair RH-VS steam humidification system requires replacement or is no longer required, pro- ceed as follows: 1. Switch off the ventilation system and secure it against unintentional start-up. 2. Shut the Condair RH steam humidifier down (see Condair RH installation and operation manual) and, if necessary, wait until the components have cooled down sufficiently, so that there is no longer a risk of burns.
