Grill oven (Figure C)
The oven function is particularly suitable for
the gratinating of food.
1. Preheat the grill plates|12.
2. Open the lid|4 of the contact grill up-
wards. Be careful not to raise the lid
any further after it is vertical.
3. Place the food to be grilled on the lower
grill plate.
4. Lift the lid|4 up and pull it forwards and
down, until it is parallel to the lower grill
plate|12.

6.4 Switching off

1. Set both thermostat controls|9 +|14 to
the setting "•".
2. Pull out the mains plug|6.
3. Lift the grilled food off the grill plate|12
using a suitable kitchen utensil. Use e.g.
a spatula made from wood or heat-re-
sistant plastic, but never from metal.

7. Cleaning

Clean the device prior to its first use!
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
• Pull the mains plug|6 out of the wall
socket before you clean the contact grill.
• The device, the power cable and the mains
plug|6 must not be immersed in water or
any other liquids.
DANGER! Risk of injury
through burning!
Allow all the parts to cool down be-
fore cleaning.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive clean-
ing agents.
Clean the device after each use and remove
all food residues.

Outer surfaces
• Clean the outer surfaces using a soft,
damp cloth with a mild soap solution.
Grill plates
For purposes of cleaning, remove the grill
plates|12 from the device after it has cooled
down.
1. Press the grip clamps|5 to the side and
remove the grill plates|12 from their
brackets.
2. Clean the grill plates|12 using mild de-
tergent and dry them.
3. Place the grill plates into the device and
press them against the grip clamps|5
until the grill plates click into position.
NOTE: burnt-on food or fat residue is often
easier to remove if you leave a damp wash-
cloth on the baked-on residue overnight to
soften it.

8. Storage

DANGER for children!
Keep the contact grill out of the
reach of children.
• Clean all parts, and allow them to dry
properly before you put the contact grill
away.
• Figure D: wind the power cable|6
around the cable spool|7 when the de-
vice is upright.
• Select a location where neither high
temperatures nor moisture can affect the
device.
