    3.2 Menu Options To access the menu display, press the MENU key from the main display. The program will either take you directly to the menu tree or ask you the correct PIN before entering the menu tree. Below is the menu tree which can be navigated by the user.

    Scancool Classic ULT Freezers are designed for long term storage. It is recommended that only pre-frozen products be placed in the unit as it will reduce the amount of heat load that must be absorbed by the freezer at one time.

    3.6.4.2 Wrong Input Power This alarm is activated when the applied power rating to the Scancool Classic ULT Freezer is not as stated in the specification. The control system will still turn on but it will never start the compressors to cool down the freezer chamber.

  • Page 28 3.7.6.1 SET CLEAN REMINDER This menu option is used to set the new time interval for reminder to either clean or replace the condenser filter periodically. This option can also be used to check the current time interval reminder setting. The time interval provided ranges from 0 to 12 months. Use ▲\▼ key to modify the value and press SET to confirm.

    3.7.7.4 GASKET ACK FILTER CLEAN This menu option is used to acknowledge that the GASKET has been replaced or cleaned after a “CLEAN GASKET” alarm is displayed on the 4 row of the LCD. “CLEAN GASKET” alarm will be cleared out and GASKET cleaning reminder will be reset after this menu is pressed.

    Proper and timely maintenance is crucial for trouble free functioning of any device and your Scancool Classic ULTF is no exception to this rule. We strongly recommend that you follow the maintenance schedule suggested hereunder in order to obtain optimal performance from your Scancool Classic ULTF.

    Scancool Classic unit. Turn off the power on the Scancool unit. Open the outer and inner doors to let the unit warm up. Place some towels or other absorbent material on the floor around the freezer to absorb any liquid from the frost as it melts.

    Chapter 6 – Troubleshooting Under no circumstances should the unit be disassembled, repaired, or converted by unqualified people. Failure to follow these instructions may cause personal injury and/or loss of property due to malfunctions, electric shocks or fire. Should the unit malfunction stop the operation and then pull out the power plug or turn off the power supply at the source.
