Possible cause
An unused DVD-R or DVD-RW
was inserted.
Data transfer has to be com-
pleted.
The reason for this is that the
device is still sending data to
the disc.

Batteries empty
Solution
The device requires a short time to automatically format a
DVD±RW disc.
Before recording can be stopped, a few seconds are required
to send data to the disc.
The disc compartment may need a few seconds to open after
a disk has been recorded or modifi ed.
The remote control is not pointed towards the DVD recorder.
Make sure that the remote control is not further than
7 m away from the player.
Replace the batteries in the remote control
