Cleaning and care

Z
No heating elements may be switched on while
the oven is being cleaned. Make sure that the
oven has cooled down sufficiently for you to be
able to touch the inside parts without a risk of
burning. Only the oven lighting may be switched
on.
Z
For purposes of electrical safety, steam clean-
ers and high pressure cleaning appliances may
not be used for cleaning the oven.

General Information

Do not use any abrasive or aggressive cleaning or
scouring agents such as steel wool, soap-impreg-
nated steel wool, metal or plastic sponges or similar
agents with an abrasive surface, any cleaning agents
with a bleaching effect or containing chlorine, or oven
sprays because they can damage the surface.
The stainless steel design fronts of the appliances
have a protective sealing; you may hence not use any
commercially available cleaning agents for stainless
steel since these agents will destroy the protective

sealing.

Only use neutral cleaners or washing-up liquids when
cleaning the oven.
Usually it is sufficient to clean the appliance with a
damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid each time
you use it. Wipe dry afterwards.
After cleaning make sure that all the cleaning agent
has been thoroughly removed.
The oven door may be removed in order to facilitate
cleaning. See page 29.

Oven cavity

Clean your appliance regularly when it is slightly warm
or when it is cold in order to prevent grease spats and
dirt from being repeatedly heated up and sticking.
Clean the oven interior, with a weak solution of deter-
gent and warm water, using a damp cloth or a soft
sponge. Soak stubborn stains prior to cleaning.
Rewipe it with clear water and finally dry it.
Baking trays, universal pans, grid
and glide-out rails
Clean with warm water with a little washing-up liquid
added. Soak beforehand if heavily soiled. The oven
furniture is not suitable for rinsing in a dishwasher.

Control panel and oven door

Z
Please ensure that seals on the door and in the
door frame are kept clean.
Z
When cleaning the oven, please ensure that you
clean stainless steel surfaces in the direction of
the fine surface structure. Do not rub in the op-
posite direction of the lines!
Remove any deposits of calcium or any spots of
grease, starch or egg-white as soon as possible. If this
is neglected, corrosion can develop under these
deposits on stainless steel surfaces due to the lack of
oxygen.
Sealing
We recommend that you remove the seal when clean-
ing the oven and clean under it too. Should the sealing
be soiled please clean it with warm water with wash-
ing-up liquid added.
