Care instructions for Flushcontrol 1000 N GLT
Operating mode
Flushcontrol 1000 N GLT has an external sensor (multi-parameter sensor) which is attached to the siphon.
Flushing is activated when a use is detected. Thanks to these properties, the Flushcontrol 1000 N GLT is a
reliable flushing system.
Operational test
A simple operational test is possible by adding 0.1 l saline solution (0.4%), warm water or direct contact with a
metallic object (screwdriver etc.) by immersing in the residual water.
Unsuccessful operational test?
If the operational test of the Flushcontrol 1000 N GLT is unsuccessful in that flushing does not occur, this could
be due to urine scale deposits up to the wall connections.
Care instructions
To ensure the smooth operation of the urinals, regular cleaning and maintenance is necessary. Deposits (urine
scale) result from hard water and urine. These deposits can be reduced by cleaning. From time to time it is
necessary to change the siphon.
Rinse stop for cleaning
By plunging a metallic object (not isolated) for about 15 seconds into the residual water, the cleaning session is
initiated. The object has to be touched with bare fingers in doing so. The start of the cleaning session is
acknowledged by two flush cycles with 0.5 l flush volume and 4 seconds interval between both cycles. For about
30 seconds the flushing system is not functional and there is no flushing initiated. At the end of the cleaning
session a flushing with about 2 l flush volume is carried out. From then on the flushing system returns to the
normal operation mode.
Course of action in the case of deposits If urine scale or other deposits have formed in the siphon or in the
siphon trap bend, these must be removed either manually or with a recommended detergent (Duck Power Total
Clean or similar) depending on the degree of contamination. In doing so it is important that the deposits in the
siphon trap bend or in the junction to the drain pipe are also removed in order to prevent rapid accumulation in
the moulded suction section from the waste outlet. The siphon must either be cleaned or replaced depending on
the degree of contamination.
Since the siphons are wear items, soilings of the siphons are not covered by the two-year warranty.
