Import/Export Function

The Remote UI enables you to save the Address Book and other settings
information, such as forwarding settings, as a file that can be loaded into the
machine when needed. This function is useful when you want to use the same
settings on another machine, and for the purpose of backing up. The Import/Export
function is intended for data exchange, and is available only through the Remote
UI.
CAUTION
The Import/Export operation may take awhile to complete. Do not turn the
machine's main power OFF until the operation is complete. Otherwise, the
machine may malfunction.
IMPORTANT
The import/export of the Address Book is available only in the following cases:
- When the Universal Send Expansion Board-A1 (optional) is installed in the iR105,
iR8500, and iR7200.
- When the iR6020i/5020i is used.
- When the Image Reader-A1 (optional) is installed in the iR6000i/5000i.
- When the Image Reader-B1 (optional) is installed in the iR3300i/2200i.
- When the fax board is installed in the iR3300/2800/2200.
During an Export operation, the screen display does not change until the operation is
complete. Do not click [Start Export] while the hourglass or pointer indicate that the
operation is still being processed.
The machine's control panel cannot be used while files are being imported/exported.
NOTE
The import/export of the Additional Functions or forwarding settings is available only in
the iR105, iR8500, iR7200, iR6020i/5020i, iR6000i/5000i, iR3300i/2200i.
