You can also
perform print head
deep cleaning from
the printer itself.
Hold down the
RESUME button
and release it after
the second beep.

2. Print another Nozzle Check Pattern to check whether
the print head cleaning was effective.
3. If the cleaning had no effect, perform print head deep
cleaning.
1 Open the Printer Properties dialog box
and click the Maintenance tab.
2 Click the print head deep cleaning icon.
3 Click OK.
The POWER lamp flashes and print head
deep cleaning begins. Deep cleaning takes
2 to 3 minutes, after which the POWER
lamp stops flashing and remains lit.
4. Print a Nozzle Check Pattern to check whether the
print head deep cleaning was effective. (page 16)
If the cleaning had no effect, perform print head cleaning and print head deep cleaning
again. If there is still no effect after you have cleaned and deep cleaned the print
heads three times, the printer may be out of ink or the print heads may be worn. Refer
to the following for information on replacing the BJ tank or BJ Cartridge:
