Quick Reference Guide For Sewing A Design
Loading a design from a floppy disk (DST file).
1.
Turn on computer and start the Brother Embroidery System software, ECSC.
2.
Turn on the Brother machine.
3.
Insert the floppy design disk into the computer disk drive.
4.
Left click on the Explorer icon.

  • Page 2 On the left hand side of the window, left click on the 3 1/2 Floppy (A:) On the right hand side of the window, double left click on the design that you want to load.
  • Page 3 A create icon window will be displayed. Just left click on OK. How many times is feed required before thread trimming is to be performed? 3 is the standard so just left click on OK again. Move pattern to current needle position? Press cancel to have the design start in the center of the embroidery area.
  • Page 4 Setting color sequence Left click on the Needle Bar Change icon. Left click and drag each color change in the design over the needle bar number on machine that you want that color to be. Color changes in design When finished, left click on the Needle Bar Change icon again to turn off the color sequence window.
  • Page 5 Loading embroidery hoop and positioning of design Left click on Settings. Left click on Load Hoop.
  • Page 6 Double left click on the hoop that you wish to use and make sure the design fits within the light green line inside the hoop outline. Setting Speed All newly loaded designs will default to speed range 1 (1000spm) when they are loaded. Left click on the down arrow to lower the speed to 800 spm for tubular or 700 spm for caps.
  • Page 7 Sending design to the machine Left click on the start button to send design over to machine. Operations on machine panel If “HOOP” is displayed on the machine panel, press Press again to confirm position of design within the hoop. Press the button to start the embroidery process.
