(6) Adjust the stitch length.
Set the stitch length adjustment lever to "R"
position as shown in the illustration. This adjust-
ment is suitable for either Narrow Overlock stitch
or Rolled Edge stitch.
To Do Rolled Edge Stitch
This application rolls the edge of the fabric inside of
the hem stitch. The lowerlooper tension should be
tightened. This pulls the upperlooper thread causing
the edge of the fabric to fold around the remaining
stitch finger. After completing steps (1) through (6)
above, adjust your machine to these recommended
thread tension settings:
Upperlooper thread tension at 1-4
Lowerlooper thread tension at 5-7
Right needle thread tension at 4
Tension may vary slightly according to the fabric and
thread used.
To Do Narrow Overlock Stitch
This is a decorative application used for finishing the
edge of the fabric. After completing steps (1) through
(6) above, adjust the thread tension to achieve a
normal 3-thread overlock stitch.
Recommended thread tension settings are:
All thread tensions should be set at 4
Tension may vary slightly according to the fabric and
thread used.

Para realizar puntadas de borde enrollado
Esta función permite meter el borde del tejido en las
puntadas de dobladillo. Para poder realizarlo, con-
viene aumentar la tensión del áncora inferior. Así, se
tira del hilo del áncora superior y el borde del tejido
se dobla alrededor de la uñeta remanente. Después
de implementar las operaciones (1) a (6) indicadas
arriba, se recomienda ajustar la máquina en los
siguientes valores de tensión de hilo:
Tensión del hilo del áncora superior entre 1-4
Tensión del hilo del áncora inferior entre 5-7
Tensión del hilo de la aguja derecha en 4.
La tensión puede variar ligeramente según los teji
dos e hilos utilizados.
Para realizar puntadas overlock estrechas
Esta función decorativa conviene para mejor termi-
nar el borde del tejido. Después de los puntos (1) a
(6) indicados arriba, ajuste las tensiones de los hilos
con vistas a lograr una puntada overlock normal de
tres hilos. Los ajustes de tensión recomendados
son:
Todas las tensiones de los hilos deben estar en 4. La
tensión puede variar dependiendo de los tejidos e
hilos utilizados.
