7. If the appliance does not work properly, immediately turn off the appliance and disconnect it from
the mains socket. For repairs, contact a technical support centre authorised by the manufacturer,
and require that original spare parts be used. Using parts that do not conform to the product may
seriously compromise its correct operation.
8. This tool can set fire to different materials, make a proof on a discarded material before use.
9. Do not use the tool on live appliances or conductors. Disorder and scarce lighting could cause
incidents. Keep the working area always clean and well-lighted. The possible exhalations coming
from the material on which you are working can be dangerous. Ask for information about toxicity of
the used materials and work in a well-ventilated area.
10. Keep away your hands from the hot tips and working area. The heat can be transmitted by the
piece. Protect the working surface and materials against damages caused by heat. Non-skilled
users shall not to carry out works or repairs where a specific training is necessary (for example the
repair of electric/electronic appliances).
11. The appliance has dangerous components that must be kept out of the reach of children. This tool
is not a toy.
12. ATTENTION: Always place the appliance on a flat and regular surface. If necessary, use safety
glasses.
1. Loosen the screws on the blade holders with the hex key (supplied in the box).
2. Slide the blade until it easily dovetails under its supports.
3. Tighten the screws (do not over-tighten).
4. Insert the power cord plug into a suitable volt, grounded, electrical outlet.
5. The temperature control knob has 16 possible positions. The smaller the ridges on the knob are,
the lower the power setting is.
6. Switching on: press the button and hold for less than 20 seconds.
7. Switching off: release the button for 30 sec minimum.
8. Unplug the appliance and let the blade cool down before store it.
CAUTION: excessive power and heat can cause an overheating of the blade holder and of the blade
itself, resulting in a damage to the unit. The blade does not need to be red to move through foamed
plastics. When cutting, it is recommended to keep the temperature and speed consistent. If smoke
develops, it means you are cutting too slowly or the blade is too hot: decrease the temperature and
use the appliance with intermittence.
CAUTION: use always in well ventilated-areas. The material residues on the blade can be cleaned with
a wire brush (supplied in the box).
This appliance requires no maintenance except cleaning of its external surfaces. To clean external
surfaces, use only a soft moistened cloth. Do not use solvents. Before cleaning the appliance, set or
change tips disconnect it from the mains socket and wait for it to cool down. Do not put the tool under
liquid substances. Always keep the soldering tip coated with tin to ensure a long service life.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISPOSAL
Disposal of this product shall be governed by the European Community Directive 2012/19/UE on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE). According to this regulation, the consumer has the obligation NOT to dispose of this product as household waste
but through separate channels of collection (WEEE). In the case of purchasing a similar new product, this product can be
disposed free of charge from the distributor. The disposal is free, no purchase required, for WEEE small size (external
dimensions below 25 cm). Comply with local regulations in the fields of waste disposal. It is always possible to dispose of this
product at a WEEE collection center predisposed by the public administration. The incorrect disposal of this article could have
potential adverse effects on the environment and human health. This symbol indicates the consumer's duty to dispose of this
article as WEEE and NOT as household waste. Improper disposal of the product by the consumer involves the application of
administrative sanctions provided by law.
